Sensory Box

Full kit (1 cup of fill, 2 heart bowls, 1 heart scoop, emotion hearts, valentine loose parts, 2 wooden peg people)

Each month, our Sensory Box Add-On features a new sensory fill and interactive play pieces designed to match that month’s theme and extend learning through hands-on play.

For February, we are so excited to include a beautifully curated sensory fill created exclusively for this box by Joyful Noggin. The fill, Hands & Hearts, was thoughtfully designed to represent connection, belonging, and humanity first—different hands, different hearts, all worthy of love.

This Sensory Box also includes 3D-printed interactive pieces from Penny Role Playkits, featuring two heart bowls, a heart scoop, emotion hearts in a variety of skin tones, and Valentine’s-themed loose parts for open-ended play. To further encourage imaginative storytelling and social play, the box includes two wooden peg people in different skin tones, created by My Big World Playscapes.

All of these elements come together intentionally to support our February themes of friendship, feelings, Black History Month, and love.

To help guide play and add extra sneaky learning opportunities, we’ve included three activity cards. These cards introduce simple scenarios—such as “Share your toy”—and invite your child to decide whether the action shows good friendship skills. If it does, they can add a scoop of sensory fill into one of the heart bowls, reinforcing positive social behaviors in a playful, hands-on way.
