Each month, our Sensory Kit is thoughtfully designed to extend the learning and play from our Toddler Craft Box and Preschool Box. While the themes pair perfectly together, the Sensory Kit can also be enjoyed on its own for open-ended, imaginative play.

For May, we are excited to bring you a beautifully curated sensory experience centered around the joy of spending time outside with your family. This month’s sensory fill was thoughtfully created by Teenietotsplayshop to capture the feeling of a grassy park—where dandelions and buttercups bloom, butterflies float by, and ants wander toward your picnic blanket.

We are also excited to partner with Captivating Play this month to bring you one of their best-selling doughs—Dirt Dough! This versatile dough can be used as a sandbox, playground woodchips, or anything your little one dreams up, adding even more opportunities for creative, open-ended play.

The 3D printed pieces by PennyRose Play Kits were carefully crafted and include a picnic table, pizza box with pizza, picnic foods, a playground slide, and a swing that actually swings—bringing this outdoor scene to life in a hands-on, engaging way. To further encourage imaginative play, a picnic blanket and colored peg family are also included so children can create their own family picnic moments.

To extend play, we’ve included three activity mats that encourage sneaky learning through sorting, counting, and early math exploration.
